  3. Your American Girl patterns are adorable. When my granddaughter received her first, I began making garments for her. She quickly learned that she could ask for clothing from me, and save any gift certificates from her aunts and uncles for additional dolls. As her friends received theirs, I got many a phone call, "Nana . . . could you make Colleen a sweater? She just got her doll, and she doesn't even have ONE SWEATER!"

Natually, this great tragedy of life set my needles to flying! She is now 17, and that is behind her, but I have a 7-year-old who adopted me, so this gives me some new styles to add!

  5. hi Kristen--love your Gingersnap pattern and want to make it for my youngest (of4!) grandson. He's almost 2 so was hoping you could help with pattern adjustments for size 2+. Thanks! Best--Marla Shatkin (Marla.shatkin@gmail.com)

    1. Hi Marla

I'm so sorry, but I just now saw your comment! Somehow it was hidden from me and I apologize. Unfortunately I cannot help you with sizing the Gingersnap pattern for a 2 year old. I have not had the time and don't see myself doing it in the near future. Perhaps one day, and if I do, I'll post it on Knitionary.

      Best,

      Kristen

  7. Hi Kristen,

Actually I've reached your lovely Dr. Owl pattern while searching new patterns for my Mom! I've downloaded instruction via loveknitting and knitRowan, I'm trying to translate for her but I'm a little bit starnger for knitting. So, there are some definitions such as C1F, C1B, BC or FC and unfortunately I don't understand what those definitions means. I would be very happy if you help me to find out Dr Owl's pattern in detail. Thank you so much , Best wishes
